Tottenham reportedly want £18 million to allow Darren Bent to leave the club this summer. Sunderland are considering a move for the England international forward..

Sunderland are closely monitoring the player, but there are a number of other sides considering a move, including newly promoted Birmingham.



However the £18 million price tag is sure to be a hurdle for any club, and Sunderland are believed to be ready to offer closer to £7 million for the frontman.
