Eto'o snubs Man City

30 June 2009 - 13:28

FC Barcelona super star, Samuel Eto'o, has decided to stay at Camp Nou after snubbing a hefty £250,000-a-week wage deal offered by Man City. Had he said yes, he would have been world's best paid player.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Samuel Eto'o said that he has no intention to leave Barcelona, the world champions, even though their president declared that they would accept the £25.5m bid from City. The Cameroon striker is in his top form and has indicated that he wants to continue playing at the highest level rather than at a club who are not even involved in the Europa league.

Man City might have all the money, but, Eto'o have given them a reminder that its not about money always. His agent, Jose Maria Mesalles, explained that Eto'o is loyal to Barcelona and will stay with them.

Eto'o's contract with Barcelona ends next summer.
