Carlos Vela off to Spain?

Carlos Vela off to Spain?

16 July 2009 - 08:01

Espanyol are believed to be interested in bringing Mexican international forward Carlos Vela back to Spain from Arsenal. The player is seen by Arsene Wenger as one of the hottest prospects in world football, so the Frenchman would be very reluctant to let the player leave.

  • However, with talk of £5 million being on the table for Vela, the Gunners boss could be very tempted to allow the player to leave. It is uncertain whether Vela has a starting place berth in the Gunners' side over the next two years, but Wenger is believed to be more willing to let the player leave on loan.

Vela showed flashes of brilliance for Arsenal last year when he was given the opportunity, and so the Gunners may well be unwilling to discuss terms for the transfer of the player.
