Sunderland boss Steve Bruce believes that he is the man to help push the Black Cats up the Premiership table and on to success. Bruce has already been a busy man in the transfer market, adding some high profile players to his squad.
"It is the right time for me and the right place.
"I have been in management for 10 years. I found it very difficult in my younger days. To start with I was a little bit naive and wet behind the ears.
"In my first job at Sheffield United I had six chief executives in a year.
"That gives you some idea of what that first job was like, but it was the start of a learning curve.
"Now I have had eight years in the Premier League. This job is perfect for me now."
