McCarthy can leave for £4m

04 November 2009 - 03:25

Sam Allardyce has admitted he will let Benni McCarthy quit Blackburn if a team is able to come up with a suitable offer for the frontman. It is understood that £4 million will be enough to land the forward.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Allardyce said of his situation: "At his age I’d understand if he wants to play first-team football. At the moment, he can’t get it here.

‘There is a price to be met if someone wants to buy Benni McCarthy. But we would have to have a replacement for him to allow it to develop.’
