Manchester United are concerned that Dimitar Berbatov after he made a knee injury worse after a knock against Blackburn recently. Berbatov could well go under the knife to clear up the problem.
An insider at Old Trafford side:
"It is causing quite a bit of discomfort, which is worrying."
Berbatov has struggled and the club have admitted that the Bulgarian may require surgery to clear up the problem.
Man Utd will be left with Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney as their striking options if Berbatov goes under the knife.
