Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is still looking to add more players to his squad in the January transfer window, to ensure they keep up early season momentum. The Blues have already added Michel for £3 million this January.
"I think adding to the squad is vital to the players, for the guys that have done so well.
"What I am conscious of is taking too big a step, signing a certain type of player at a certain type of wages at a certain type of transfer fee.
"I don't know if that's absolutely necessary at this given time because you can jump ahead too quickly and I've said in the press this past week that I've got a responsibility to Birmingham, to make sure the finances don't go haywire."
