Liverpool agree fee for Chamakh?

13 January 2010 - 02:13

Liverpool have reportedly agreed a fee with Bordeaux for the signing of striker Marouane Chamakh. It is understood that the Reds will pay over £7 million to land the striker who had been linked with a move to Arsenal.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni
  • According to reports, Rafa Benitez has identified Chamakh as his primary January transfer window target, and has already offered a contract to the forward.

If all is to go smoothly, the deal could be completed before the end of next week.

It is sure to disappoint a few Arsenal fans who had hoped Chamakh would add much needed firepower to a weakened strike force.
