Waldo Ponce Wigan deal over?

18 January 2010 - 07:57

Waldo Ponce may have seen his move to Wigan fall through as his current club Velez Sarsfield are reluctant to sell the player to the Latics.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Velez Sarsfield president said: "If Ponce signs a contract with Wigan, we are going to forbid the transfer and report Wigan to FIFA.

"We have already ordered Ponce to show up here and attend training sessions with his team-mates, but he never made any reply to us."

Ponce himself meanwhile has confirmed his desire to play for the Latics. He said: "What is left in my career is to play in Europe. I think this is the right moment for moving."
