Midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng will not be staying at debt ridden Portsmouth now that the transfer window has opened, and Stoke City are in the driving seat to land the Ghana international who will be playing at the World Cup in South Africa this summer.
Boateng, formerly of Tottenham, is valued by his club in the region of 5 million GBP; and Pompey have revealed they will not be allowing players to leave on a cut price.
It seems that Stoke will make their initial move for the player before the World Cup as the player will be looking to impress in South Africa and put himself in the shop window.
