Redknapp can handle England job

07 December 2010 - 06:49

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has insisted that he would not struggle under the pressure of managing the England side; insisting his current job already brings on enough challenges.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "Do I need the aggravation?" quipped Redknapp.

"It's aggravation managing Tottenham, isn't it? But it's what you get with the job.

"You either enjoy it and get on with it or you turn it in and go and walk the dogs and play golf.

"That's my choice, isn't it? And while I enjoy it, you keep going.

"It's not easy. Sometimes when that alarm goes off I think to myself 'What you doing at five o'clock, slapping round the motorway in the middle of winter every morning?'

"But you can only do it because you enjoy it. And if I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't do it."
