Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Ivory Coast international winger Gervinho. The player has long been admired by the Gunners coach Arsene Wenger; who will make an approach for the Lille player this summer.
Gervinho scored 15 goals and made 10 assists this season for the Ligue 1 winning side; form that has persuaded Wenger to make a move for the player.
According to other reports, Newcastle and Sunderland are also monitoring the player.
The Lille boss said of Gervinho: "He wants to go and has developed contacts with Arsenal. We will soon have talks with them and see what they offer."
