Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has made an offer for right back Gregory van der Wiel. It is understood that the Portuguese coach has made a 12m GBP offer for the Ajax man.
van der Wiel, capped by Holland 24 times, is considered one of the best full backs in Europe.
Chelsea are desperate to bring in new full backs this season and it seems van der Wiel is at the top of that list alongside Fabio Coentrao.

However, Ajax coach Frank de Boer has announced that no offer has been made for van der Wiel: "For Jan Vertonghen, Gregory van der Wiel and Maarten Stekelenburg there is currently no concrete interest," said De Boer.
"It would be difficult to lose them, especially if it was at the last minute. So I hope that all three remain."
