Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen will be staying in Holland next year; ruling out any move to the Premiership. Arsenal had been linked with a move for the Belgian defender.
The player - valued at around 9m GBP - has announced that he wants to stay put at the Amsterdam ArenA.
"During my vacation I have thought back to the championship a lot," Vertonghen told the club's official website.
"I have many videos on the internet and every time I've looked back I've got goose bumps. The title was one of the best moments of my life and certainly the best of my career."
