Liverpool hit out at Lucas rumours

Liverpool have hit out at reports that Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva would be quitting the club this summer. Arsenal were a surprise link for the holding midfielder.

But Liverpool moved very quickly to deny any knowledge of a deal, suggesting that Lucas is happy at the club and that they are happy to keep the player.

''There is nothing to say about this. It is rubbish," said a Liverpool report.
