Tottenham move for Lassana Diarra denied

Rumours that Tottenham are set to complete a move for French midfielder Lassana Diarra are wide of the mark, after the player revealed that he had no interest in a move t White Hart Lane. Real Madrid had reportedly put the midfielder on the market at 12m GBP.

Redknapp is a known admirer of Diarra, but according to reports, Tottenham are unable to match the 100,000 GBP wage demand of Diarra.

The former Arsenal, Portsmouth and Chelsea man has struggled for first team opportunities of late at the Bernabeu in recent months. However, Diarra will be staying in Madrid for the time being.
