Sunderland after Federico Macheda

Sunderland are interested in a loan move for Italian striker Federico Macheda, who seems to be quite far down the pecking order at Man Utd.

The Italian striker famously scored the winning goal against Aston Villa a couple of seasons ago that helped Man Utd to the Premier League title.

However, Macheda has since found first team opportunities quite limited and is expected to make another loan move elsewhere this summer.
