Heskey wants quick recovery
Wigan striker Emile Heskey has revealed he is hoping to be back in action within five weeks as he recovers from a foot injury. Heskey broke a metatarsal in the Premiership 1-1 draw with Fulham.
"The injury happened when I went over on my ankle and all the weight was on the side the foot," he told the Wigan Evening Post
"The doctor thinks it was something which had been going on for a while, and this was the last straw.
"At the moment it's quite frustrating sat in the gym, watching the lads through the window on the training pitch.
"When I had the operation, the doctor told me it would be between six and eight weeks before I was playing. So there's another three to five weeks left.
"You never know, once I get the boot off, it might have healed a little bit quicker. I hope I'm a quick healer."
