Aston Villa scout youngster Adem Ljajic
Aston Villa could make an 8m January transfer move for Adem Ljajic, the young Serbian midfielder who so nearly joined Manchester United back in 2009. Sir Alex Ferguson cancelled a move for Ljajic at the last minute then.
However, Ljajic then ended up at Fiorentina and is now rated as one of the brightest prospects in Serie A.
Since joining Fiorentina, Ljajic has now represented the Serbia international team and has received accolades for impressive displays from midfield.
Ljajic is comfortable playing in both attacking midfield or on the right hand side, and Alex Mcleish is scouring Europe to find a replacement for Ashley Young, who joined Man Utd during the summer.
