Newcastle to hijack Luuk de Jong move

Newcastle are the latest team to have been linked with a move for FC Twente striker Luuk de Jong, with a move possible in January.

Luuk de Jong is valued by his club at around 3.5m, and since joining FC Twente he has helped his club wint heir first Eredivisie title.

Newcastle hope to bring in de Jong and hijack Liverpool's attempts to land the talented Dutch forward.
