Usmanov wants greater Arsenal stake
Uzbek Billionaire and shareholder Alisher Usmanov wants to increase his stake in Arsenal in a move that could cause several boardroom battles at the London club.
According to the Daily Mail, Usmanov wants to increase his stake from 29percent to 30percent by buying out smaller shareholders with an offer of £14,500 per share.
This would qualify Usmanov for a place on the Arsenal Board, who have refused to give him a seat regardless of him havig the second largest stake in the club after Stan Kroenke.
Usmanov has been critical of Kroenke's ownership policy, stating on multiple occasions that the American is not spending enough money on the club.
