Porto's Fernando interests Arsenal

Arsenal are looking at Porto midfielder Fernando Francisco Reges with the intention of making a January move.

Fernando operates primarily as a defensive midfielder and would provide a cheaper alternative to Wenger than the £25 million worth Yann M'Vila.

Fernando is noted for his tough tackling and excellent reading of the game and would provide good competition to Alexandre Song in the Arsenal midfield.
