Aston Villa chasing Danny Guthrie

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish wants to bring Danny Guthrie to Villa Park. The midfielder is out of contract during next summer, but the Villains do not want to wait that long and could pounce in January.

Guthrie's contract expires in June, and Newcastle have so far failed to agree terms on a new contract with the player.


It appears that Villa want to sign Guthrie in January though, and will make a 500,000 GBP offer for the Man Utd and Liverpool youth player.
