Fulham target Chris Gunter staying put
Nottingham Forest defender Chris Gunter is the subject of intense interest from several Premier League clubs, but the Welsh defender wants to stay at the City Ground for the time being.
Fulham reportedly had a 1.4m GBP offer for Gunter rejected only last week, as Fulham manager Martin Jol weighs up a move for a player he worked with whilst coaching Tottenham.
Gunter remains committed to the Forest cause, as admitted in an interview yesterday:
“Transfer bids have been rejected and that’s it as far as I’m concerned,” said Gunter.
“I’m happy at Forest and am focused on playing my part in helping this club climb the table. I’m focused on Forest and nothing else.”
