Everton chase Darron Gibson
Everton manager David Moyes wants to make Irish international midfielder Darron Gibson his first signing of the January transfer window. The Man Utd player has been told that he is free to leave Old Trafford this month.
The Toffees are hoping to bring Gibson to Goodison Park initially on a loan basis, then with the option of a permanent deal next summer.
Gibson - valued by United at around 4.5m GBP - has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford since the arrival of Ashley Young and emergence of young midfielder Tom Cleverley.
A loan move would also appeal to cash strapped Everton, who are looking to bring in at least two short term signings in the transfer window.
