Wolves miss out on Michael Mancienne
Wolverhampton Wanderers have missed out on a transfer for Hamburg defender Michael Mancienne. The England under-21 right back had been linked with a return to the Premier League, but it appears that Wolves have missed out.
Mick McCarthy's side reportedly approached Hamburg last week regarding Mancienne, and wanted to take the former Chelsea player on loan until the end of the season.
Since Frank Arnesen left Chelsea last year, and took Mancienne to Hamburg with him, the player has struggled to make an impact in the first team and there had been talk of a return home in January.
But Wolves' loan offer appears to have been rebuffed, and Mancienne will be staying put in the Bundesliga for the time being.
