Tottenham legend tips club to win FA Cup

As Tottenham prepare for their FA Cup fourth round clash with Watford this weekend, club legend Glenn Hoddle has tipped Spurs to have a great run in the tournament and even predicted that they could win the cup.

Tottenham last won the FA cup in 1991, and former midfield hero Hoddle thinks that Spurs have a great chance to emulate that success this year.


"I would be expecting Tottenham to put out quite strong team," Hoddle said. "This is a competition that they have a great chance of winning.


"Finishing in the top four is obviously a main target for the club but, for the fans and the players, winning something, some silverware, is what they will remember.


"It's what we are in the game for - look at Stevie Gerrard's face after Liverpool reached the League Cup final on Wednesday night. Spurs have a great pedigree in the FA Cup."
