Fulham sign Mahamadou Diarra
Fulham have completed the signing of Mali international midfielder Mahamadou Diarra on a deal that will keep the defensive midfielder at Craven Cottage until the end of the season. Diarra has been without a club since last summer.
Diarra has been available for transfer since last summer, when his contract expired with Spanish giants Real Madrid. The 30 year old midfielder has previously enjoyed successful spells with French side Lyon as well as Madrid, and at the pinnacle of his career he was considered as one of the best holding midfielders in the world.
The 30-year-old will stay with the Cottagers until the end of the season, when manager Martin Jol will be in a position to decide whether or not to offer the Malian a longer contract with the club.
At the height of his career, Diarra was signed by Real Madrid for a massive 22 million GBP.
