Aston Villa chasing Dutch starlet Bas Dost

Aston Villa are tracking Dutch striker Bas Dost, who currently plays for Heerenveen in the Eredivisie. The Villains are impressed with Dost, who has already bagged 22 goals this year for his team. Villa have competition for Dost's signature, as other teams are interested.

Villa manager Alex McLeish is on the look out for a new striker in the summer, and has already been linked with a move for Spartak Moscow forward Artem Dzyuba. However, with the Russian striker unlikely to win a work permit in England, Villa will turn their attentions to Dutch under 21 international Dost instead.


Since arriving at Heerenveen from Heracles in 2010, the forward has already scored 35 goals and good form has meant that Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven and Ajax have also been watching the striker in action.
