Agbonlahor new Aston Villa captain

Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has been named the new club captain as Stiliyan Petrov battles with illness. This week, Petrov was diagnosed witha ctue leukaemia and will start treatment.

Agbonlahor has now been named his replacement, at least temporarily. The striker has scored six goals for the Villains this year, and is a home grown young talent. The striker has also appeared for the full England national team three times.


Aston Villa will take on Liverpool this weekend in Anfield, Gaby's first game inc harge of the Birmingham side.
