Dirk Kuyt completes Fenerbahce move

Fenerbahce have completed the signing of Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt for a fee of around 700,000 GBP. The player has put pen to paper on a three year contract at Anfield, earning a reported 2.2m GBP per year in Turkey.

Dirk Kuyt became a popular figure at Anfield, with some important goals in big games over the course of his six year Liverpool career.


Liverpool confirmed the move announcing on their website: "Liverpool Football Club can confirm that Dirk Kuyt has advised the club that he has today reached an agreement with Fenerbahçe SK over a move to Turkey, and the transfer is expected to be completed in the next few days.


"Everyone at Liverpool Football Club would like to wish Dirk all the very best for the future and thank him for his contribution to the club."
