Newcastle desperate to sign Yann M'Vila

Newcastle United will stop at nothing in their pursuit of French international star Yann M'Vila, and have reportedly tabled a  £17M offer for the Rennes defensive midfielder. Arsenal have also been linked with the Frenchman, but Newcastle have apparently jumped to the top of the queue in their chase for his signature.

The 22-year-old has been with Rennes since 2004, and every summer since 2009 has been linked with a move for the Premier League. It remains likely that the player is detined to star in the English top flight at some point.


M'Vila has 22 caps for his country and despite being very highly rated by those in his homeland, the player has endured criticism from Rennes supporters and the like, who think the midfielder does not consistently produce his best form.
