Arsenal planning Sime Vrsaljko swoop

Arsenal are preparing an offer for Dinamo Zagreb right back Sime Vrsaljko. The Croatian international right back has been earmarked as a potential replacement for France international Bacary Sagna.

Over the past year, Arsenal and Sagna have been locked in contract talks and have not made much progress. The Gunners are keen to keep Sagna at the club, but will not offer the Frenchman a four year deal. 


With the ongoing contract tussle between Sagna, his agent and the club, the Gunners have decided to turn their attentions to Vrsaljko, the talented full back who already has full international honours at the age of 21. The Zagreb starlet has played for Croatia four times. 


Arsenal have been quoted a price of around 8.5 million Euros for the defender.
