Gareth Bale to sign new Tottenham contract
Gareth Bale to sign new Tottenham contract
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas, chairman Daniel Levy and Welsh wizard Gareth Bale have made a verbal agreement that will ensure the player agrees a new deal at the club. Bale will earn a reported £130,000 a week at White Hart Lane.
Many have expected the Player of the Year to depart Spurs in light of the club's failure to qualify for the Champions League, but it appears the forward will instead stay at the club for the forseeable future.
Bale has been persistently linked with a move to Manchester United, Real Madrid or Barcelona - but the former Southampton man will sign a five year contract to keep him at the Lilywhites.
