Aston Villa star told to join Atletico Madrid

Aston Villa's star striker Christian Benteke has been told by fellow countryman Thibault Courtois to move to Atletico Madrid.

The striker has been persistently linked with a move away from England and the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham have shown some interest.


Chelsea's on loan goalkeeper Courtois said: "He is a very strong centre-forward, tall, but very good technically and skilful with the ball at his feet.


“I believe he would be a great signing for Atletico. During these days with the national team I am going to ask him about his future. There is talk of various teams interested in him, and maybe he will stay in England.”
