West Ham United have moved a step closer to agreeing a deal for Liverpool striker Andy Carroll. The forward spent last season on loan at Upton Park and is eager for a long term stay.
The England international is unwanted at Anfield and has been long linked with a move south to London, where a host of teams have been tracking the striker.
West Ham chairman David Gold used Twitter to confirm that a deal is almost completed, he tweeted: "The chances of AC joining West Ham has risen from 50/50 to 75/25 in the last few hours. Will keep u posted."
