Frankfurt to sign Arsenal misfit Nicklas Bendtner

German side Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed a fee with Arsenal for the transfer of Denmark international forward Nicklas Bendtner. The player spent last season on loan at Juventus and is not a part of Arsene Wenger's plans for the new year.

After almost 10 years with the London club, it appears that Bendtner is now ready to move on for pastures new. The Bundesliga club have agreed a fee of around 2.5 million Euros for the striker, who has scored 22 goals in 55 games for his country.


Arsenal are busy looking for a new striker - possibly Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid - and have already parted company with Andrey Arshavin this year. Marouane Chamakh is another player who looks set to be offloaded.
