Arsenal and Chelsea to battle for Jovetic's signature

Chelsea and Arsenal are all set to battle and go head to head for Fiorentina's Striker Stevan Jovetic according to the Daily Star. The Montenegrin international has been giving out his views, to the point of impudence, about his desire to move away from the Florence club.

As Juventus have withdrawn their name from the hunt for the striker, the two London clubs are the only remaining contenders for the Montenegrin International.


Earlier, speculations suggested that Juventus were the favourites to snap up Jovetic but the relationship has always been unfruitful between the Turin and the Tuscan based outfit.


Following difficulties in the negotiations for the player, the Serie A champions had come up with the conclusion that perhaps Carlos Tevez was the best possible option at hand and signed up the Argentine instead of the 23 year old Jovetic, leaving the player's move to the one of the London clubs very open.
