Young wants ONeill Villa stay

Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Young has admitted he would disappointed should his boss Martin O'Neill decide to leave the club. O'Neill has mentioned as a possible replacement for Steve McClaren, should the former Middlesbrough boss lose his job with England.

"Of course it would be disappointing not to be working with a manager like that," Young told Sky Sports.

"He is a top manager, so hopefully I can still have the opportunity to work with him not just now but for years to come."

Young is a big fan of O'Neill's management style and he relishes learning under the former Leicester boss.

"It is brilliant [playing under O'Neill]. From the first time I came to the club and met him you could tell he was a different character," added Young.

"Man-management skills to every individual is spot-on and you cannot ask for any more.

"He played a part in my move to Villa. I asked people about him and nobody had a bad word to say.

"If you look at his track record, his career what he has done, it speaks for itself."
