Man City to complete move for Steven Jovetic
Man City to complete move for Steven Jovetic
Manchester City are on the cusp of completing their fourth signing of the summer, as Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic reportedly flew to the UK to discuss personal terms with Manuel Pellegrini's side. The Citizens agreed a £22 million fee with Fiorentina.
The player has already agreed a reported £120,000 per week contract at the Etihad, and City appear to have beaten the interest from Chelsea to secure the Montenegro international's signing.
The player will undergo a medical in England on Friday evening, and will be presented as the club's fourth major signing this summer shortly. The Citizens have already agreed deals for Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo and Fernandinho, bringing City's full transfer spend to more than £100 million.
Jovetic scored 13 goals in 31 games in Fiorentina and is nicknamed "The Montenegrin Messi" in Italy.
