Arsenal target Gourcuff to stay at Lyon
Lyon's star midfielder Yoann Gourcuff will not be making a move this summer, despite the interest of Arsenal, Valencia, Atletico Madrid and French rivals Monaco. The midfielder plans to stay for the coming season according to the French club's presidential advisor.
Bernard Lacombe, an advisor to the club president Jean Michel-Aulas, has confirmed that Gourcuff's plans are to stay at Lyon: "Yoann Gourcuff won't leave during this transfer window. The president told me that there were opportunities, but all three parties need to be in agreement.
"The president has had, it's true, there have been a lot of approaches, and that has enabled him to have a different point of view other than the club's. He's talked about it with Yoann. But I don't think he'll leave."
