Rodgers admits that club's valuation for Suarez has not been met

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is happy to see Luiz Suarez jon the club in Australia and revealed that the club's valuation of their striker has not yet been met.

The drama surrounding Luis Suarez's impending departure from Liverpool has been dragged on for weeks now but Rodgers maintains that he is eager to keep the Uruguayan at the club.

Suarez had been vocal about his desire to leave Anfield citing the hostilities that he has faced from the British media ever since he joined the club from Ajax. With Real Madrid and Arsenal, both, reportedly being interested in his signature, the Merseyside club have revealed that neither of them have matched their valuation of the star striker.

"There's been a lot of speculation over the course of the close season but the reality is that he's a player who is very much valued at Liverpool and unless there's any sort of offer that comes in that's anywhere near his value, there's nothing to consider.", Rodgers said when quizzed about Suarez's future.

It was widely reported that Arsenal had offered €30 million for the striker but Liverpool turned it down. It remains to be seen how long Liverpool hold on and what value are they exactly looking at for the South American.
