Roma sign De Sanctis
Serie A side AS Roma have announced the signing of veteran Italian goalkeeper on a two year contract from Napoli.
The 36 year old custodian has been at Napoli for the past four years but, with the arrival of Liverpool shot stopper Jose Reina, has now been allowed to find a new club. The Naples club are expected to soon unveil the Spain international as their new number one after signing him on a year long loan deal.
The club's official website declared that Napoli have received a sum of €500,000 for the transfer of De Sanctis.
Roma were in search of a new goalkeeper following the departure of Dutchman Maarten Sketelenburg to Fulham earlier last month.
De Sanctis told La Repubblica Sport: "It's all agreed. I'm here to work hard and to have a great season."
