Will Arsenal sign Sebastián Pérez?

The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had handed a trial to Atlético Nacional midfielder Sebastián Pérez Cardona earlier this month.

Pérez who recently represented the Colombian national side in the FIFA Under 20 World Cup held in Turkey, plys his trade for his home club Atletico Nacional whose former players include Ivan Cordoba, Rene Higuita, Juan Pablo Angel, and the tragic Andres Escobar.


Pérez made his debut for Atlético when he was just 17, but is still yet to score his first goal in professional football.


The 20-year-old is highly-rated by his team and is considered to be the next big thing to come out of Colombia.


Having impressed Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger during his week trial, Perez was employed to play on-field during the Gunners' last pre-season friendly against Manchester City in Helsinki.


It will be interesting to see whether Arsenal sign the 20-year-old midfielder given his discipline while tackling not being up to the mark, having been sent off twice in just 54 appearances for Colombian side Atlético Nacional.
