Marouane Chamakh completes Crystal Palace move

Marouane Chamakh has finally completed a move to Crystal Palace. The Moroccan striker has signed a two year contract with the Eagles and Ian Holloway has promised the former Bordeaux frontman that he will be a first team regular at the club.

Arsenal have sold the striker for a fee believed to be around 1 million GBP for the striker, whilst the forward has taken a 30 percent paycut to move to the Eagles.

Ian Holloway has been pursuing a striker for most of the transfer window and is delighted to have finally wrapped up a deal for the forward.

A statement wrote: "Crystal Palace are delighted to confirm the signing of Morocco international striker Marouane Chamakh on a one-year deal.

"The former Arsenal forward has joined the Eagles on a permanent deal after competing a medical in SE25, and will wear the number 29 shirt."
