Odemwingie completes Cardiff City transfer

Peter Odemwingie has finally got his wish and completed a transfer away from WBA. The Nigerian international forward has signed a contract with Welsh side Cardiff City.

The player had attempted to push through a deal to QPR back in January but failed after terms were not agreed between the two clubs.


Since then, Odemwingie has found himself out of the first team and desperate for a move away.


"It's a fresh start, a whole new beginning," said Odemwingie after the deal was completed.


"I've joined a club with a strong determination to achieve their goals.


"Cardiff City showed great intent to bring me here. I have to thank the manager and everyone involved in making this transfer happen.


"There are talented and dedicated players in the team, everyone is moving in the right direction and I also want to make a strong contribution as well."
