Francis Coquelin - I am focused on Freiburg

Arsenal's on-loan defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin has expressed that he is only thinking about his role at Freiburg, rather than focusing on next season.

Coquelin, who joined the Bundesliga outfit on a season-long loan deal from the Gunners this summer, said that his aim is to play as much as possible with Freiburg in the Bundesliga this season.

He told FranceFootball : "I had the opportunity to join Lorient in the summer and I thought about it but finally I chose Freiburg because I wanted to discover something new.

"My future? I am only focused on Freiburg so far. I put Arsenal aside. My priority is to play as often as possible."

Coquelin has so far made a single appearance for Freiburg since his loan move.
