Andre Villas-Boas - Arsenal will be competitive even without Mesut Ozil
Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has expressed his opinion that the Gunners will offer the same competition as they did last season, despite the arrival of club record signing Mesut Ozil.
Ozil joined the North London outfit from Real Madrid for a fee of £42.5m on transfer deadline day.
Villas-Boas does however accept that his team along with Manchester City have done most of the business during the recently concluded summer transfer window, as Spurs chase for an elusive Champions League spot having failed to acquire it in the past two years.
The former Chelsea manager told PA : "All of us have done good business in the transfer window, but Manchester City and us maybe a little bit more than Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
"We are happy with what we have done in the transfer window, extremely happy.
"Arsenal did a great last minute coup with Ozil but they will be as competitive as they were before."
