Gonzalo Higuain: 'I was honoured by Arsenal's interest'
Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has admitted that he was "honoured" by the Gunners interest in signing him during the summer transfer window.
The North London club came close to sealing a deal to land the former Real Madrid forward, before he opted to join Serie A giants Napoli.
The talented Argentine International is reportedly set to miss out on facing the Gunners on Tuesday night in the Champions League group stage fixture with a leg injury.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I was honoured by Arsenal's interest, I have great respect for (Arsene) Wenger and the idea to be in his plans filled me with pride.
"But I think my decision to come to Napoli was the best, I'm really happy with this choice."
