Gabriel Obertan could leave Newcastle United in January

Newcastle winger Gabriel Obertan has revealed that he could leave the Magpies during the winter transfer window, having failed to break into the first team on a regular basis. 

The Frenchman has just made a single substitute appearance for the Magpies, during the club's victory over Leeds United in the third round of the Capital One Cup, and has become increasingly frustrated with the lack of first team opportunities. 

On an interview with the Shields Gazette, Obertan hinted that he would wait till December to decide where his future would lie come the winter transfer window in January.

"Everything is possible. I will see what's going on until December, and I'll see what's best for me and the club," He said.
